IGCSE Geography Paper 2The second Paper in the Series: 'IGCSE Geography Paper 2' will present an introductory explanation of the current world-wide awareness of global warming. The first paper in this series is the IGCSE Geography Paper.Global warming has increased in awareness over the past ten years. The first paper in this series will present an introduction to the issue of global warming. Global warming is caused by the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from fossil fuels such as coal and oil. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the Earth's atmosphere.What causes global warming is not entirely understood. However, scientists agree that the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased to over 400 parts per million. There are many theories regarding what might cause the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, but there is no evidence that human activities, primarily the burning of fossil fuels, is the main cause.While carbon dioxide is not the only problem associated with global warming, it is the primary cause. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change or IPCC, a group of climate scientists, has found that most of the observed increase in global temperatures can be attributed to increases in the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide that enters the atmosphere contributes to the trapping of heat that would otherwise escape into space. A strong correlation has been found between the increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide and the increased levels of global temperatures.This second paper in the series 'IGCSE Geography Paper 2' will describe the major causes of global warming, the effect that global warming will have on human life and the importance of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The first paper in this series is the IGCSE Geography Paper. In this IGCSE Geography Paper, students will learn about the characteristics of the earth's surface and the geography of continents, wh ile they study global warming.An example of a problem area for Ireland would be the Cavan-Monaghan border, which is about 20 miles south of Shannon, Ireland. Cavan-Monaghan is about halfway between one country and the other. If the area were to experience a large increase in the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, it could lead to a massive increase in temperatures in the area, causing damage to Ireland's surface and vegetation. If the problem area becomes more severe, there will be increased flooding in the area that will make it even more difficult to cross.Also in the IGCSE Geography Paper, the students will examine the nature of Ireland's different climatic zones, including the area that extends from the UK down to Ireland's northern coast, as well as the coastal and inland areas to its south. There is an increasing temperature increase in the south, which increases the intensity of summer heat in the area. Even though temperatures may have increased, it will be difficult to determine the effect of global warming as the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere continues to increase. Also in the IGCSE Geography Paper, the students will examine Irish weather patterns, including their effect on Ireland's climate patterns, in light of the discussion about global warming.Finally, in the IGCSE Geography Paper, the students will discuss what will happen when the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases above the levels found in the current generation. This will cause the oceans to become more acidic, which will kill off corals, other marine organisms and fish. It will also increase the amount of carbon dioxide that is stored in rocks and can become unstable. The students will also discuss ways that Ireland can help to reduce global warming and its effect on the environment, as well as how Ireland has worked together with other countries to help to find solutions to some of the problems associated with global warming.
